To the Zoo!
As I mentioned in my last post, my comp had problems detecting my handphone connection so I got Jaron to transfer all my accumulated pics through his labtop and he was nice enough to do me this favour… Thanks dude! Some activities that I had engaged in in the past few weeks…
Visiting the Singapore Zoo!!! I know I know… The Zoo isn’t considered hip and cool but I jumped at the opporunity when Matt asked me along. He had free tickets from his company anyway, supposedly to promote ’Family Day’… I was rationalising the futility of the whole campagine but was surprised that it was terribly crowded when we got there! Arghhh.. Apart from the crowd, I thought the whole visit was an unusual one, but enjoyable!
Hair up, ribbons at the side, light and airy kimono dress and ballet pumps for the rugged outing…

Coins, bus-card, shades and the basket bag for the trip..
*

And this! Haha…Part of the fun for me when visiting the wilderness is making a Bento lunch for my friend(s) and I. It’s got the classic rice, ginger soy sauce chicken, blanched and marinated broccoli and carrots and the sweetish egg omelet. I must say, I did pretty well on that day.. Matt was smacking his lips after the meal. It was indeed an experience eating bento and watching Polar Bears in the tank! ^_*

Whilst on the bus from Toa Payoh to the Zoo, a bunch of younglings got up the bus with a fair bit of commotion. I was thinking noisy students or attention seeking teenagers when I saw that one of them was blindfolded and wearing big sign…
I don’t think the sign is clear for all to read..but anyway, it said ‘Hello! I’m the birthday boy and I am going to the Zoo’! The whole procession was so comedic that I just had to take a snapshot of them! I didn’t manage to on the bus as it was too crowded so I stole 2 shots after we got off the bus ^_^

Two of my fav shots…
Then I ran out of space in my phone memory … Arghhh.. Oh well, I’m pretty happy with those shots though!

Random pretty pictures for the rest of the time…
Dinner fixed for a Dad on the day when Mom was too lazy to cook; Ginger chicken with charred and skinned red and yellow peppers, plus a sprinkling of emerald green coriandar. Mmmm… Dad loved it, especially the peppers that tasted super sweet and juicy!

Was fooling around with my hat when my eyes caught the sight of my fav carebear. I decided that he (or she??) would look good with my own handmade hair accessory… and I was right!

On of my hobbies is to collect picture books and these 2 pictures are from a mag featuring dolls dressed in their best. I couldn’t resist posting these even if they’re a little blurry..
And last but not least…..

Now that I am soothed…think…
Finally!!!!
Finally! Two interviews, lots of waiting and groaning later, I now have two job offers! One option is to become a Forex Broker and the other to be a Marketing and Sales Consultant in a property consultation firm, both lucrative enough! Dreams of having hoards of cash in my account has also prompted me to think of what I’ll be spending my money on… ;P
But Alas! I can’t really think of what I’ll spend on.. Buying a car is out (Check out the gasoline prices.. I hope Boone Pickens’ plans get supported by the US government..), manicures and pedicures maybe but they’re a waste of time, skincare is a must anyway so it’s not really out of the ordinary..
My favourite huant in Singapore is actually.. GASP! Kinokuniya! Never expected a fluff blogger to be actually interested in books, did you? =) Hmmm.. thinking about it, I love reading about european history, interior designing, fashion history, thrillers, mystery, and stories set in the medival period like Eco Umberto’s Name of The Rose. I think I’ll also be collecting things to do with Sherlock Holmes (He’s my perfect man!!!).
But other than books, what else?
*
*

A Macbook so that I can surf the net in the comfort of my own room..
*
*

A wine cellar full of my favourite wines!!! Okay okay… I’m realistic.. I think a wine fridge would be more practical…
*
*

A small house to myself that’s decorated according to the set of Marie Antoinette the movie.
*
*
Japanese food EVERYDAY!!!
*
*
Cosmetic surgery to get double eyelids and lash implants.. Superficial, but I’ve been longing to do this for a long time. Imagine the time I’d save when I do my makeup!! oooh… and I’ll wake up beautiful!
*
*

Manuka honey for my facemask at home and for general health..
*
*

And giving my family treats to exculsive buffets… like the one at Sentosa Beaufort! ;P Afterall, my dad and Mom deserves a good treat from me after all they’ve gone through to put me through Uni..
*
*

Subscription to Reader’s Digests… I wouldn’t mind science mags too!
*
*

Subscription to JJ magazine for my fashion inspiration from the land of the rising sun!
*
*

Dom Parignon Champagne for my friends! Cheers!

Old Treasures…
Hmmmz… After the visit to Butter Factory last week, I’m seriously wondering how much I should trust the RSVP list on Facebook. It was quite empty on the Wednesday last week when I went in with my friend Jaron…So, I resorted to taking random pictures to kill boredom..But I must say, Butter has cool funky graphics on the walls and animations played on their projectors
What Butter displays on its walls are not particularly my style ( in terms of what I’ll wear) but it’s just so interesting to look at, and surreal too. It felt like I was in the head of someone who took magic mushrooms or pot.
Black and white is never out of style.. The square headed figure reminds me of scenes from the Japanese animae, ‘Paprika’.
My favourite type of pictures of myself (cheeky and naughty)
Although it was a quiet night at Butter, the saving grace is that my friend Jaron was there to keep me company. Like myself, he too is fascinated by the graphics on the walls and he’s a graphic desingner too!
The beautiful Dawn yang on the latest Butter Factory’s Rythem and the very lethal Butter Ice Tea! Arghhh!! It’s as lethal as Long Island tea but it’s got hints of vanilla and taste more lemony. Sluurrp!! Thanks for buying me one Jaron!

Hmmmzz.. Still hunting for a job so pretty bored at home. Can’ t stand the thought of me rotting at home so I decided to dig around my old photos stored in my comp. I stumble upon these pictures that I ripped from the net the last time. I was crazy over the Japanese animae character Chi in the animation ‘Chobits’ and even bought the picture book! And it’s very, very in line with my concept of beautiful dresses and accessories.
